Heron Bay Cliffs Shepherds Rescue — mother dog with puppies overlooking the bay

Heron Bay Cliffs Shepherds Rescue

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue rehoming Anatolian Shepherd × NAID hybrid dogs in Northern New York.

We are not a breeder — we are a rescue. We are currently rehoming unplanned litters of Anatolian Shepherd × Native American Indian Dog hybrids while building our capacity to take in outside rescues. All dogs are raised on our sanctuary property in Northern New York.

About Our Rescue

Heron Bay Cliffs Shepherds Rescue, Inc. is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Northern New York. We are a small sanctuary-based rescue dedicated to the responsible placement of large working breed dogs.

Our dogs are not kennel dogs — they are raised on open land alongside wildlife, poultry, and family. They are intelligent, loyal, and deeply bonded to their people. They need the right home, not just any home.

Our current rehoming efforts focus on unplanned litters from our own breeding-age animals. As we grow, we will expand to taking in Anatolian Shepherds, German Shepherds, NAIDs, and large working breed mixes from shelters and owner surrenders across the region.

Proceeds from adoptions and donations directly fund veterinary care, food, and facility operations for all animals in our care — including our wildlife rehabilitation program.

Ladyhawke
⚠ Urgent Need

Meet Ladyhawke

Ladyhawke is a 2-year-9-month-old female Anatolian Shepherd × NAID hybrid and the daughter of our beloved matriarch, Lady. She is sweet, bonded, and deserving of a home — but she is currently heartworm positive and needs treatment before she can be placed.

We are seeking an adopter willing to take on her treatment, or a donor willing to sponsor it. Her adoption fee is fully waived for any approved applicant who provides proof of funds to cover her heartworm treatment.

If you can't adopt, a donation in Ladyhawke's name goes directly to her care. Every dollar makes her healthier and brings her closer to her forever home.
